Sharvari Wagh starrer Munjya has crossed the Rs 10 crore mark in India

Munjya Box Office Collection: The horror-comedy starring Sharvari Wagh performed well at the box office in India on Saturday. According to Sacnilk.com, the film has earned over Rs 7 crore on its second day.

The film earned Rs 4 crore on the first day of its release. According to initial estimates, the film earned Rs 6.75 crore in India on the second day. So far, the film has earned around Rs 10.75 crore. On Saturday, the Hindi occupancy of ‘Munjya’ was 30.99 percent.

About the horror comedy Munjya

The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and Amar Kaushik.

Production house Maddock Films shared a note on Saturday, which read, “This record-breaking collection for a film without any A-list actors is a testament to the power of a compelling story and the brilliance of CGI technology. Munjya has sprung the biggest surprise in the industry, setting the stage for a stellar box office performance.”

‘Munjya’, released on Friday, is set in Maharashtra and is the story of a mythical creature from the world of Indian faith and cultural systems. In the film, the creature gets attached to Bittu, played by Abhay Verma. Mona plays Pammi, a single working mother who is overprotective of Bittu. The film stars Sharvari, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma and Sathyaraj in lead roles.

The film is reportedly based on Maddock Films’ horror comedy universe, Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), and Bhediya (2022).
