In a conversation on YouTube channel RealHit, Manoj Bajpayee opened up about his understanding of money. Although many may think that the actor is a spendthrift due to his immense success in films, the reality is quite the opposite. Speaking about it, Manoj commented how he has always set his own limits when it comes to money, and he has prioritized the basic needs in life above everything else. He said that although he may not be rich enough like the Ambani family, he makes sure to control his greed. In his words:

“You must have enough money to cover medical expenses and your children’s education. You need to be able to live a comfortable, respectable life where you don’t have to borrow money from anyone. That’s it. Otherwise, there is no limit. This is Ambani’s limit. There are a lot of rich people in the world and I can’t become like them through acting. You have to set your own limits and control your greed.

Manoj says he likes peace more than financial gain

Speaking on the same lines, Manoj said that he has always considered money and profits as a by-product of his work and thus, he has never focused his attention on it. He said how he has always chosen peace over money in his life and is happy with his decision. He said:

“As long as you treat money as a by-product of your job, you will live in peace. If you are desperate for money, your journey is not going to last very long. If you make your work a priority, So the money will follow you. I believe very strongly that you should not compromise on something that is basically a by-product. Because peace is there. You have to choose between greed and peace, and we choose peace.”

Manoj once revealed how he felt completely lost while attending big parties

Earlier, during a conversation with Raj Shamni, Manoj Bajpayee revealed that he does not like going to big parties, be it in the film industry or anywhere else. Explaining the reason behind this, the actor confessed that he finds himself lost in such a huge crowd, and most of these parties are organized just for the sake of luxury and do not have any specific purpose. As a result, he misses out on meaningful conversations with anyone, and feels left out because of the crowd.

When Manoj Bajpayee said he asked his father to leave his ailing body during his deathbed

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Manoj Bajpayee talked about the most heartbreaking moment of his life, when his father, RK Bajpayee passed away in October 2021. The actor revealed how at that time, he was busy shooting for one of his web-series, when during a phone conversation with his father, he asked him to depart from this life, leaving behind his ailing body. Manoj narrated:

“That was the time when I had to give a shot to Killer Soup and my spot boy was in the van. In front of him, I was talking to my father and I told him, ‘Bauji you go, Bauji hogeya’ and it was heartbreaking for me. My spot boy started crying, shouting and I was going for my shot. That was the hardest moment for me but I coped with it and my father left early the next morning. He was living in that body to see me and when he heard me on the phone after a long time, he left his body.
