This success came after she played the double role of ‘Rehana’ and her daughter ‘Faridan’ in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first directorial web series. Heeramandi: Diamond Bazar This series is based on life of Tawayaf’s Set against the backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle of the 1940s, the series was released on May 1, 2024, and apart from Sonakshi, it also featured Richa Chadha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Taha Shah Badusha and many others.
Sonakshi Sinha’s birthday video from the 90s resurfaced on social media
Now, as Sonakshi Sinha turns 37th on June 2, 2024, an old video of her birthday in the 90s has resurfaced on social media. Lehran TV shared it on their social media handle and the voiceover in the background of the video reveals that the birthday celebrations were held at Shatrughan Sinha’s house with Ramayan. The Sinha family also celebrated the birthdays of their two sons Luv and Kush, whose birthdays were just a few days later.

Sonakshi looked stunning in a white frock at the birthday party. In a glimpse, her father Shatrughan was seen carrying her in his arms and giving her lots of kisses on her cheeks. Apart from this, we also spotted a huge 3D cake specially decorated for the little kids, which included Sonakshi and her brothers Luv and Kush. Several other celebrity kids also attended the party and the entire place was decorated with balloons, birthday hangers and other things. Truly, it reminded us of the old days.
Sonakshi Sinha once commented on why the success of actresses does not translate into financial gains
Following in her father’s footsteps, Sonakshi Sinha has carved a niche for herself. However, she too, like many other actresses, has faced pay disparity in the film industry. In a conversation with News18, Sonakshi talked about how actresses in the film industry are not paid as much as their success, stardom and hard work. She revealed that she feels bad when her efforts are not rewarded for the work she puts in. Sonakshi said.
It’s not easy and sometimes it doesn’t feel right. When filmmakers approach you, they know you have brought something new. But when it comes to money, everybody wants an actress, especially, to reduce her fees.

Sonakshi reveals how she dealt with her box-office failures in the past
Taking the conversation forward, Sonakshi spoke about the box-office failures she has faced in the past and how she has given some box-office duds, as well as some semi-hits. The actress clarified that the ultimate success of a film is dynamic and as an actor, she has no control over it. But she also admitted that her fine performances have always been appreciated. In her words:
But I also knew that the box office fate of a film is not in my control. As an actor, you have to give your best. My performances have always been appreciated. That’s how I moved ahead and kept doing what I wanted to do. Now it is paying off.”
