Ratna Pathak Shah, Naseeruddin Shah and Prateik Babbar starrer film ‘Manthan’ was screened at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The film was selected for the screening from the Classics section and the makers as well as the star cast of the film were invited for it. While Naseeruddin and Prateik looked dapper in their respective outfits, Ratna Pathak Shah stole the show with her unique saree and custom made blouse. Looking at Ratna, it seems as if he has dismissed all the young actresses. When she entered Cannes in a saree, Indians are considering it a proud moment for themselves because Ratna attended the event wearing her own saree. Cannes Film Festival has become a place where celebrities from all over the world come to watch films and Gather to celebrate fashion. However, Ratna Pathak wore a custom tailored blouse for the screening of her film and paired her saree with it. The actress chose a yellow saree and paired it with a pink blouse. The blouse had a flap and it matched the saree very well. For accessories, Ratna chose oxidised necklace and earrings. Whereas, Naseeruddin Shah wore a beige sherwani with maroon buttons.

Prateik Babbar brought mother’s scarf

Story of ‘Manthan’

Shyam Benegal’s 1976 classic film Manthan starred late actress Smita Patil and Naseeruddin Shah. It was a film based on Verghese Kurien’s milk cooperative movement, ‘Operation Flood’, which transformed India from a milk-deficient country to the world’s largest milk producer. This company progressed and later it was named Amul.
